Morrison Mentoring is delighted to announce that applications are now open for this round of the Scholarship Programme.
The Scholarship consists of ten weekly mentoring sessions. Students in years eight, nine or ten who reside or attend school in the following postcodes are eligible to apply:
3141, 3142, 3143, 3161, 3162, 3182, 3183, 3184, 3205, 3206.

Applications must be received by COB on Monday, 26 March, 2012. They can be submitted via email or mailed to the address specified in the documents. Remember - although I have allowed plenty of room for submissions, it is not necessary to write a lot to become a successful applicant; write as much as you feel necessary to answer the questions, even if that is just a couple of sentences.

Do you know a student who is not achieving their potential at school? Perhaps their grades are slipping, they are poorly organized, or they have found the transition from primary to secondary school difficult?
Morrison Mentoring is offering one School Mentoring Scholarship in Term One, 2012. The successful applicant will receive a complete package, comprising an initial meeting during which goals will be set, and ten mentoring sessions. During these sessions the student will receive tutoring in key subject areas, counselling on factors impacting on their school performance, and coaching to establish strategies for success and foundations for future well-being. The package is offered completely free of charge to the successful applicant; this is Morrison Mentoring's way of "giving back" to the community.
The Scholarship in Term One, 2012 is offered to students entering year eight, nine or ten, who live or attend school in the following postcodes: 3910, 3911, 3198, 3199, 3200, 3201, or 3930. In subsequent terms, the Scholarship will be offered in different regions of Greater Melbourne. It will be some time before the Scholarship may be offered in the Frankston area again, so eligible parents, teachers and students are strongly encouraged to submit an application to take advantage of this offer.

Does it matter if I'm repeating a year?
No. You are encouraged to apply, if you meet the above criteria.
